Cupcakes are always a treat, but add a handmade flower topper with a leaf name tag and your friends and family will be even more delighted. When I make these flower toppers, Ill make a dozen at a time so I have them at the ready for my next cupcake extravaganza.
Gather:
Long toothpicks
Green scraps of paper for leaves
Pre-made fabric flowers in a variety of sizes
White glue
Marker
Create:
1. Cut the green paper into the shapes of leaves. I used scalloped scissors on my leaves.
2. Layer the fabric flowers one on top of the other and glue them together. Let dry.
3. Using the marker, add guests name to one of the cut-out leaves.
4. Assemble by gluing two leaves to each toothpick, and the layered flower on top.
I displayed my cupcakes on a piece of green moss that I cut to the shape of my serving piece. You can also put one cupcake at each table setting as a combination name tag and sweet treat for guests to take home. Dont forget to buy small cupcake boxes for easy transport.
